- Reason Started Cycling: I was born in Holland where I had to ride my bike for many years as my means of transportation. Then I did not ride my bike for over 20 years until I became a spinning instructor in the US and bought my first Tri-bike.
- Racing Accomplishments:I entered in Triathlons in Clydesdale category and usually place in the top 5. Since I did not particular enjoy running as a 200 + lb guy and beating myself up trying to get better, I decided to focus just on cycling racing in 2006.
